Project brief.
Spire Healthcare is one of the UK’s largest private hospital providers with 39 hospitals and 8 clinics across England, Wales and Scotland.
Motionspot was engaged to work on a major refurbishment of Spire Bushey in Watford featuring 80 private patient bedrooms, to ensure their patients received outstanding personalised care.
Motionspot’s inclusive and design-led approach perfectly aligned with Spire’s mission and values.
Project scope.
The brief involved refurbishment of a number of accessible en-suite patient bedrooms and the shower rooms in the physiotherapy clinic.
In the bedrooms it was important to create a space with a hotel look and feel, whilst balancing the highest clinical standards, to enhance patient wellbeing and comfort.
In the Physiotherapy Clinic, which included a hydrotherapy pool and gym, the aim was to create a space that further enhanced rehabilitation and recovery.
We created designs, floorplans and elevation drawings for the contractors and supplied all fixtures and fittings for sanitaryware and specialist accessible products. Technical advice was also provided throughout the build to ensure the accessible products and features were installed to the highest standards.
