Motionspot’s inclusive approach to life sciences design helps create high-performing research environments where everyone can thrive. We support scientists, clinicians, collaborators and visitors of all backgrounds, identities and abilities.
Inclusion drives innovation.
Accessible and inclusive life sciences spaces attract diverse talent and enable better collaboration. From specialist laboratories to CAT B office accommodation, we enhance wellbeing, safety and productivity without compromising on technical performance.
We support clients through all stages of design and refurbishment. Our recent work includes RIBA Stage 4 design reviews of CL2 labs and offices, where we assessed layouts, finishes, sanitary provision and emergency egress for inclusivity and compliance with the Equality Act 2010.
Human-centred design in technical environments.
We consider a wide range of access needs, including physical, sensory and cognitive disabilities. Our recommendations support neurodiverse users, gender diversity and inclusive design best practice. We advise on the features required in a CAT A fit out as well as the CAT B requirements including quiet spaces, accessible lab furniture, safe circulation routes and inclusive sanitary facilities.
Our inclusive design reviews and site audits help life sciences organisations embed inclusion from the ground up enabling innovation through equity and access.
